Ministry/Teaching Vision: I believe that teachers are in a partnership with the parents, other teachers, and congregation. Our job is to educate our students academically as well as spiritually so that these children of God will grow in the knowledge of the love of their Creator and appreciate His creation.
Favorite Verse: Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all of your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. There is a Christian singing group called Sixpence None the Richer and they sang a song called "Trust." I love that song because it is a continual reminder to me that I need to trust God, and if I do, He will lead me in the right direction. About 2 years after I heard the song, I was reading my Bible in Africa during private devotion time and came upon the verse in which the song was based. It was Proverbs 3:5-6, and has been my favorite passage ever since. Favorite Book: The Carrot Seed and As Time Goes By
Favorite Song: You are Holy by Prince of Peace - I am the director of the Emmanuel Praise Team, so part of my job is to search for new songs to learn. As soon as I heard "You Are Holy," I absolutely loved it. It is an excellent reminder of all the things that God has done and all the roles He plays in my life. Who is Rachel Flippo?
