sharonMinistry Vision: My vision as a teacher at St. John-Emmanuel Lutheran School is to instruct my students to the best of my ability by applying God's Word to everyday classroom experiences.

Favorite Bible Verse: Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. I know that I can trust in the Lord by putting every situation in God's hands through faithful prayer, and He will take care of me and my family in good times and in times of trouble or worry.

Favorite Book: I enjoy Dr. Seuss books. They bring back memories of when I used to read them over and over again to my children when they were young. I enjoy reading them with my classes as much as I enjoyed reading them to my own children.

Favorite Song: "I Can Only Imagine" - Every time I hear this song I feel a sense of peace and comfort within myself.

Who is Sharon White?

  • I have a wonderful husband whom I have been married to for 23 years.
  • We have 4 active children and 1 playful dog.
  • This year is my 14th year of teaching. After graduating from college, I taught 2nd grade for 4 years. During this time I also received my Master's Degree. I then took ten years off from teaching to raise my 4 children. I returned to teaching when my youngest child started 1st grade. This will be my 10th year of teaching at St. John-Emmanuel.
  • I am also a dance instructor. I have been teaching dance (tap, ballet, jazz, and clogging) for 24 years. My students range from age 3 to adult.
  • My husband and I love spending our evenings and weekends watching and supporting our children participating in their activities.
